মুরাদনগরে সামাজিক সংগঠন ‘পায়ব সমাজকল্যাণ সংঘ’-এর আত্মপ্রকাশ
New Social Organization 'Payab Social Welfare Association' Debuts in Muradnagar
“আসুন একসাথে ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ি”—এই স্লোগানকে সামনে রেখে ঐক্য, শিক্ষা ও সামাজিক উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে কুমিল্লার মুরাদনগর উপজেলার জাহাপুর ইউনিয়নের পায়ব গ্রামে একটি অরাজনৈতিক সামাজিক সংগঠন ‘পায়ব সমাজকল্যাণ সংঘ’-এর আত্মপ্রকাশ ঘটেছে। বুধবার (১৬ জানুয়ারি) সংগঠনের আহ্বায়ক কমিটির আয়োজনে পায়ব সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গণে বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে ৩০ জন সদস্য নিয়ে সংগঠনটির কার্যক্রম আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে শুরু হয়।
অনুষ্ঠানে আবুল কাসেম সরকারের সভাপতিত্বে ও তোফাজ্জল হোসেন মুন্সির সঞ্চালনায় স্বাগত বক্তব্য রাখেন মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান বাবু। সংগঠনের কার্যক্রম ও ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা উপস্থাপন করেন মো. তোফাজ্জল হোসেন।
অতিথ সরকারের সঞ্চালনায় বক্তব্য দেন বোরহান উদ্দিন মুন্সি, গোলাম কিবরিয়া, আমিনুল ইসলাম মুন্সি, আমজাদ হোসেন সরকার, নাসিম মোল্লা, পায়ব সরকারি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মোহাম্মদ ফয়সাল, মাসুদ আহমেদ ও শামীম আহমেদ।
অনুষ্ঠানে সংগঠনের আয়োজিত বৃত্তি পরীক্ষায় প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত ৫ জন মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীকে সংবর্ধনা প্রদান করা হয়। এ সময় তাদের হাতে ক্রেস্ট, সনদপত্র ও নগদ অর্থ তুলে দেওয়া হয়। একই সঙ্গে গ্রামের উন্নয়ন ও সামাজিক কর্মকাণ্ডে উল্লেখযোগ্য অবদান রাখায় ১২ জন বিশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিকে সম্মাননা স্মারক প্রদান করা হয়।
এ সময় আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন মো. নজরুল ইসলাম, মো. শাহজালাল সরকার, মুস্তাফিজুর রহমান বাবু, আবু কাউসার জুয়েল, মো. আনোয়ার মুন্সি, মো. নাঈম সরকার, আব্দুর রহিম সরকার, মো. ওমর ফারুকসহ সংগঠনের সদস্য ও এলাকার গণ্যমান্য ব্যক্তিবর্গ। অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তারা বলেন, গ্রামের শিক্ষার্থীদের মেধাবিকাশে নিয়মিত মেধাবৃত্তি প্রদান, একটি লাইব্রেরি স্থাপন এবং দরিদ্র ও অসহায় শিক্ষার্থীদের সহায়তায় কল্যাণ তহবিল গঠনের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হবে। পাশাপাশি মাদকমুক্ত সমাজ গড়ে তোলার লক্ষ্যে সচেতনতামূলক কার্যক্রম চালানো হবে। বক্তারা আরও জানান, গ্রামের সব ছেলে-মেয়ে যেন কমপক্ষে শতভাগ এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হতে পারে—সে লক্ষ্যে পরিকল্পিতভাবে কাজ করা হবে। মানবিক ও সামাজিক কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে পায়ব সমাজকল্যাণ সংঘ গ্রাম উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে বলেও আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করেন তারা।
Guided by the slogan 'Let us build the future together,' a non-political social organization named the Payab Social Welfare Association has been launched in Payab village of Jahapur Union under Muradnagar Upazila, Cumilla, with the aims of promoting unity, education and social development. The organization formally commenced its activities with 30 members at a colourful ceremony held on Wednesday (16 January) on the premises of Payab Government Primary School, organized by the association's convening committee.
The programme was presided over by Abul Kasem Sarkar and conducted by Tofazzal Hossain Munshi, with Mostafizur Rahman Babu delivering the welcome address. Md. Tofazzal Hossain presented the organization's activities and future plans. Addresses were also delivered by Borhan Uddin Munshi, Golam Kibria, Aminul Islam Munshi, Amjad Hossain Sarkar, Nasim Molla, Mohammad Faisal (Head Teacher of Payab Government Primary School), Masud Ahmed and Shamim Ahmed.
At the ceremony, five meritorious students who had received scholarships in the primary-school scholarship examination organized by the association were felicitated and presented with crests, certificates and cash awards. In addition, 12 distinguished individuals were given honorary crests in recognition of their notable contributions to the village's development and to social work.
Also present were Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Shahjalal Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman Babu, Abu Kawsar Jewel, Md. Anwar Munshi, Md. Naeem Sarkar, Abdur Rahim Sarkar and Md. Omar Faruk, along with other members of the organization and local dignitaries. Speakers at the event said that initiatives would be undertaken to award merit scholarships regularly to foster the talents of the village's students, to establish a library, and to form a welfare fund to assist poor and disadvantaged students. Awareness campaigns would also be carried out with the goal of building a drug-free society. They further stated that planned efforts would be made to ensure that all boys and girls of the village achieve a one hundred percent pass rate in the SSC examination. The speakers expressed the hope that, through its humanitarian and social activities, the Payab Social Welfare Association would play an important role in the development of the village.
